Mountainfilm on Tour at WaterColor
One of our favorite events in South Walton is Mountainfilm on Tour at WaterColor. MountainFilm originated in the mountain town of Telluride, CO, where climbers and skiers would gather in the evenings after an active day, and share photos and short films they took while climbing or skiing. It’s evolved into a major event, and they’ve taken the event on tour, across the world. We are blessed to have this tour come to WaterColor every year, where the films are projected onto an extra-large outdoor screen in the Marina Park at WaterColor. You may watch a very moving 5 minute film, followed by a 45 minute feature film. Each year, the films have a general theme, and there is no better place to gather for the films, than under the pines and stars at WaterColor. Be prepared, as we’ve seen varying weather each year from nice and warm to wet, or frigid cold. The event is rain or shine, but plan on going because the films will reach out and touch you, emotionally, or with a touch of laughter.
