NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WALTON COUNTY, FL: Amending Ordinance 1998-23 – Tourist Development Tax Third Penny

The Walton County Board of County Commissioners proposes to adopt the following by ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1998-23 PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF A THIRD CENT TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.0104, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING THAT THE FUNDS RAISED BY SAID TAX SHALL BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF BEACH RENOURISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE AND FOR OTHER CAPITAL PROJECTS AND EXPENDITURES; PROVIDING FOR VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY VOTE; PROVIDING METHOD OF REPEAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

You are hereby notified that a Public Hearing on the ordinance will be held on April 11, 2017, beginning at 4:00 p.m., or as soon as possible to that time, at the South Walton County Courthouse Annex located at 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
