Home Sales Show Best Month on Record for WaterColor, FL

by Murray Balkcom, Broker
The Premier Property Group

At least once a day, I am asked, “How’s the real estate market?”

My quick answer is, “Overall, the market for Florida looks good, for Walton County, it’s better, and for South Walton, the market is very strong.” When we drill deeper, we can find micro markets which look outstanding.

It’s been several years since what people like to think of as the peak of our market. I too, still call the 2005-2006 years our market’s peak, but here and there in 2012 and 2013, we can find examples of record months for sales. One beach neighborhood on 30A known as WaterColor, set record sales levels in July, with over $25 million in home sales. This number doesn’t include condos, fractionals, town homes or home sites. July also saw 14 home sales in WaterColor, the third time this year we’ve seen that many. May 2012 was the only other time we saw 14 home sales in WaterColor. Impressive numbers if you ask me, and even more impressive is the average home sale price of $1,785,757.

WaterColorWith one of our three locations being in the heart of WaterColor, on 30A, it should be  no surprise that The Premier Property Group accounted for the most dollar volume sold in WaterColor for the month of July, representing over $20 million of sales, with an average home selling price of $2,865,000.

When you need someone to list and sell your home in WaterColor, call on an expert! Year to date, we’ve represented the seller or buyer in over $49 million in home sales in WaterColor alone, more than any other company.
